TWENTY EPICS! Audience participation! Free beer!

4 o'clock, July 12, 2006

TWENTY EPICS Internet launch party tomorrow! That’s tomorrow, this Thursday, Bastille Eve, July 13th. There will be party favors and also free beer.* You don’t even have to read the book to attend! Just let people know it’s available (direct, via Amazon, and, one hopes and presumes, via the fine corporate behemoths at Ingram Book Group): Forty-seven cubic inches of story by twenty of the best writers in the business, complete with maps, an index, and a gorgeous cover. Spread the word, and drop me a comment here so I can link back to you.

Figure 1. All this and free beer!

* The offer of free beer is for real, but you’ll have to come to Switzerland to get it. Or catch me next time I’m in the States.

Comments

Nevoo, I'm still in Busch Lite country. Is that available in Switzerland at all?

amazon shipped me my copy today.

I checked and it is available at Ingram -- their Tennessee warehouse has 100 copies available. Whoot!

As part of the festivities, I've got a post up about where my story, The Bound Man, came from, along with pictures of the Icelandic landscape that inspired it.

—— Mary Robinette Kowal, 5:03 PM, Wednesday, July 12, 2006

I've posted a bit about my story and the anthology on my blog as well.

I've posted a blog entry about the anthology. You may find it here (with some comments by Paul Berger as well).

Excellent! You’re on the beer list.

Uncle Lanson, I’ll try to sneak you a case of Feldschlössen — I’m afraid that’s as close as I can get . . .

Teriffic panel at ReaderCon! I can't wait to read all of the stories in the book. Thus far, I've only had the pleasure of reading "The Muse of Empires Lost," Paul Berger's amazing epic. But the excerpts I heard of the other stories at the Twenty Epics panel also sounded wonderful. Congrats to all on the anthology.

I've got a blog entry on the book. I'm looking forward to reading it. Feel free to pass along any more reviews and I'll post.

Whoo!

—— Heather Shaw, 10:12 AM, Thursday, July 13, 2006

The timing is perfect--now I know what to do with the Amazon gift certificate I got for my birthday! I can't wait to read the rest of the collection.

I posted a little something about this on my LJ; I hope it helps!

Oh, yes, the Paul Berger story is really fine, isn't it?

(Keep it subtle, Kris.)

—— Paul Berger, 6:08 PM, Thursday, July 13, 2006

I'm definitely hitting you up for free beer. Next WisCon. Maybe a Capitol Ale.

I did my bit at my LJ: sallytuppence

Hi All,

I just posted mine. A day late of course. No sense of time. But here it is:
