We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. —That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, —That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Pursue some happiness for me, y’all. Preferably involving fireworks. And impromptu reenactments of the Battle of Saratoga.

Like Meghan says: eat hot dogs and light shit on fire.

I just read somewhere that 21 percent of people quizzed on whether they know which freedoms are protected by the Bill of Rights think that the right to have a pet is one of the top three. I love that.

The report from Seward, Nebraska is that the anvil was fired religiously at 7:30 this morning by Fire Chief Dean Fritz and crew. Nancy Kamprath agreed to a reinactment wearing the blue dress, the same dress that was photographed yesterday with Beth Kilzer inside it, plunging from the high diving platform at the new improved Dowding Municipal Pool. The truth becomes self-evident, little by little.
