I know exactly how they feel

Forster and Benioff are able craftsmen who apparently thought it might be interesting to seal themselves into a narrative box with no way out. Sorry about that, guys — I hope it was a growth experience.

— Andrew O’Hehir, reviewing “Stay” for Salon

On a side note: A week or two ago I was thinking of getting some T-shirts printed up that would read NO ONE WANTS YOUR IDEA.

Naturally I am now, on two or three different fronts, stuck for ideas.

I just skimmed the review, 'cause it's vaguely possible I may still want to see this despite several bad reviews, but I was amused by this line, a finalist for this month's damning-with-faint-praise award:

"'Stay' is far from unwatchable, and for the first 45 minutes or so isn't actively dull."

Yeah, O'Hehir's got an ear for that sort of thing, doesn't he?
