Not the alarm clock for David Dai...

 . . . or anyone else who has nightmares about wandering mines.* But if the MIT Media Lab ever commercializes Clocky, I might have to get one.

(On the other hand, I’d probably have no trouble with my sleep schedule if I just spent October through March in Sydney.)

Oh my gosh, was that a pleasant shock. David Dai I suspect would really prefer that his clock stay in one place.

They’re neat. (And scary. The scene where Dai is half-awake and convinced there’s one in the room really stuck with me, as you can tell.) I was really surprised not to find any references to them on the ’net, other than this metaphor here. I may have to put up a web page.
