My apologies to all and sundry for the downtime. My DSL modem died abruptly on Friday - sort of; machines inside the net could see it but not out through it, and machines outside the net could see it but not in through it. It just decided it wasn't going to bridge packets any more.

Maybe it went on strike for lack of a vacation and sick hours?

Anyhow, sonic.net sent me a new modem as quickly as they could (eg, overnight fedex the next business day), and we're back up. :)
