French scientists prove that nerdy fruit flies have unhappy childhoods. Well, short childhoods. As in, fewer of them live through it.
Something that any geek who lived through junior high will understand.

Nerd fruitflies. Sitting at the nerd fruitfly table in the cafeteria, discussing nerd fruitfly topics, like whether DS9 got it's act together about year three or if it was just dumb. And then the normal fruit fly comes along and squishes the nerb fruitfly's face into his lunchtray of pineapple and walks off laughing.
