I figured out what it is that the future I see when I read the news or listen to the radio these days reminds me of. It reminds me the final scene of Charlie Stross’ “A Colder War.” XK-MASADA. All that.

That’s been bothering me for a while, so I’m glad I finally figured it out. The odd thing is, I only read the story for the first time yesterday.

This is why I’m not paying all that much attention to the news right now.
