All right; all the templates have been depositioned and entabulated, and you should have a fighting chance of seeing this as it was meant to be seen in almost any browser but Netscape 4.x.

This is why I hate the Web.

I completely commiserate with your browser compatibility issues. When I first started using style-sheets, I was incredibly frustrated that I seemed to be doing everything right, but things still looked wrong (I was using Netscape 4.7 at the time). Then I'd open IE 5, and whaddaya know -- I'm *not* totally incompetent.

A friend of mine used to do technical support for people writing java applets. In the early days of Java, when the java feature set changed weekly. It was the worst nightmare of incompatible software you could imagine -- the opposite of the promise of what java was supposed to be. Browser incompatability only made it worse.

On the bright side, this blog looks beautiful under lynx. :)
